Directing Dancing Dhamaal! Short Film

For my senior project, I had an idea to pitch and direct a short film about South Asian representation in animation, in addition to the need of more LGBTQ+ intersectional representation. The film is about an anxious Indian-American girl, who feels isolated at an Indian wedding until she learns to make space in her culture. What I want for people to take away from this film is that there is no wrong way to learn about your culture as long as you're trying and bring your own version to it! And we must encourage and support those who try rather than shunning or making fun.The film is now available on Youtube, check out the video on the right! The film has been selected in 25 films festival selections with 7 awards, 1 nomination, and 1 finalist placement.
